HOW TO LICENSE YOUR UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO VEHICLE
Property Management Office needs the following information before license plates can be ordered or issued.
- New Vehicles Purchased In-State:
- 1. A clean copy of the Report of Sale and Application for Certificate of Title (Pink Slip).
- 2. Departmental budget number to cover payment for new exempt plates.
- Used Vehicles Purchased In-State:
- 1. Take the Bill of Sale and Title to your local DMV Office.
- 2. They will issue you a Certificate of Title.
- 3. The Certificate of Title and a departmental budget number needs to be sent to Property Management for processing.
- New Vehicles Purchased Out-Of-State:
- 1. Take the Bill of Sale or Certificate of Origin to your local DMV Office.
- 2. They will issue you a Certificate of Title.
- 3. The Certificate of Title and a departmental budget number needs to be sent to Property Management for processing.
- Used Vehicles Purchased Out-Of-State:
- 1. Used vehicles purchased out of state require a VIN inspection.
- a. The VIN inspection can be done at the DMV or scheduled with the Sheriff/Police Department.
- 2. Take the Bill of Sale and Title to your local DMV Office.
- 3. They will issue you a Certificate of Title.
- 4. The Certificate of Title and a departmental budget number needs to be sent to Property Management for processing.
- Internal Vehicle Purchases:
- 1. Please notify Property Management at 885-4070 and provide the following information:
- a. VIN and License number.
- b. Description of the vehicle.
- c. The department the vehicle was sold to.
